Automated Unit for Remote Observations and Research of the Atmosphere (AURORA) 

The Automated Unit for Remote Observation and Research of the Atmosphere (AURORA) will be an autonomous and sustainably powered state-of-the-art observatory “in a box” featuring innovation in two main areas: 1) the development of sustainably powered autonomous Arctic-hardened uncrewed aerial systems (UASs) equipped with novel optical sensors and 2) integrating the UAS platform with a newly developed miniaturised surface-based observatory.
