The AURORA is up and running at the University of Leeds farm! 

The first few months of 2026 have been full steam ahead with building the AURORA ready for our first test deployment in March.  

On the way back from Greenland science week, the GAMB2LE team visited Menapia's site in Iceland where we will best testing the AURORA in 2026.

Heather and Sarah represented the GAMB2LE team at Greenland Science Week in Nuuk.

Two of the flagship instruments that will be part of the Automated Unit for Remote Observations and Research of the Atmosphere (AURORA) are currently being built by RPG Radiometer Physics: specialists in microwave remote sensing who are based in Meckenheim, Germany. The GAMB2LE team were invited to Meckenheim to visit the factory and receive training from the manufacturers prior to the instrument’s delivery.
